When I look back at Hanson’s MTV , “ I will come to you’…that kurtzweil keyboard, the brothers singing…I think maybe that’s what inspire me for what I love today. Music. Still dreaming to be a musician. Playing in a band.
Well, back then I was only 13…rather amazing to see ppl your age topping the billboard charts in US.
Though it seem like a dream then, when we were sitting in the classroom, talking and imagining how and what role do we play in a band, if we ever had one. Later, it all began to take form. Hence, the Black Lilies. School ended, and it died along. Luckilly, jam session resume again in university. Then, now Colours of Funk comes around.
And slowly it seeps into the system of my mind, that music is the direction I want to head, I started crawling and crawling into it…
Suddenly…I realized that I am already almost within it. A flashback by watching the same MTV again, almost ten years later.
Ten years has passed. Even the Spice Girls are reuniting.
Somehow, music is so wide, you will never finish learning. After all these years, there is still something lacking in my playing. The pressure to perform even better. I would want too see it as a motivation to be at a standard. My workplace has become a training ground and my flaws are getting more visible. However, I will fix it. Day by day, let it seeps into my system…I will be better.
