School Holidays

Among the few weeks after FAME production, this is my most hyper day of all. I was all perked up the whole day, I feel as if I could jump up and touch the sky soon. School holidays are finally here! The H1N1 cases has led the primary students to be off from school. The whole week was almost dream like and I am so lethargic. Thought they are no classes, we still have to train students for the Merdeka assembly.

I have been placed to help with the dance assemble, mostly being the sound woman on board. They are rehearsing the silat style with other martial arts form, all fused together to form the warrior dance. CPAC did a fantastic item again this assembly, very unusual and fresh sound. The rain stick and the di zi (chinese flute) and a very different kind of playing from the recorder. I get goosebumps when I hear it. It was a blend of malay, chinese and indian folk songs all mashed together in this instrumental piece. BEAUTIFUL. No other words to describe it.

I have a new discovery in Sunway Pyramid, I have finally found the perfect spot to have my meals (which does not cost too much) and free wifi as well. Nice and cosy. I would rather pay RM12 for a plate of noodles than a cup of starbucks coffee. Definitely the more filling food. Wong Kok Char Chan Teng. The perfect place, the next time I will order my milk tea and some other toast which are quite fabulous here as well.

Tomorrow is also another exciting day! I will be flying off to Bangkok! After 4 years, I am finally returning again. Hopefully I could meet up with Bow, the friend from our previous study trip. It is just all so exciting. Then, I am going to be entertained by Hui and CK, the comedy duo. Going to be laughing my ass off when they start their usual tease. Muahhahaha..cant wait! Have to leave for work now. Last session for the week and am free! AYayayyayyaayay!!

One Thing To Another

Last week was a dread, even from Monday itself. The events just keep coming and coming. One after another. After a long night on Friday, I have to crawl out of bed at 8 plus for another session on Saturday. Work ended at 5pm. Finally, I could not wait to get back home and hit the sack. Might even wake up later for dinner. I am exhausted. In need of a hanger to lift my body up.

As I reached the traffic light near Summit, I was greeted by a long queue of cars. Bloody hell, jam on a Sat at that kinda hour. Crap. It was due to the road blocks happening around KL. Annoying. I decided to detour down to KESAS highway, try my luck if my cousins are around.

Luckily they were. It was so good to see them. Poor SY is sick, hope she feels more high spirited and she could see the path she is heading much sooner. Reached her place, chatter awhile and as usual TY bed of wonders, and i mean literally the bed. Once you lie upon it, you will fall into deep slumber. Slept till 9pm without realising I was already very hungry. Went out for dinner and pasar malam in Bolton. Still a bit disoriented from the week. Pan Mee was refreshing. Sui Kau was not the most fantastic but still nice. Reached home at about 11. Trapped in front of the tv watching my cousin play Resident Evil 4 till 2am. Those zombies are quite entertaining and much violence as well. Head cutting and shooting and killing. Felt like I was watching a horror flick , with exception, it is one that lasted for more than 2 hours and the movement of the characters are partially controlled by us.

Sunday morning did not start so great. Woke up with period pain that lasted for 2 hours plus. I was sitting in the toilet till my butt aches. Finally, manage to fall asleep on my cousin's parquet floor. Initial plan for the day was to buy books in Chambers Music, but due to the fear of jam, we skipped it and went to order cake for my cousin only. Came back and got stuck with Super Mario game on PS2 till dinner time, played till my thumb hurts. And another chapter of Resident Evil 4 game before zzzzzzz time.

Dinner was fantastic, 'lam yu chicken' with 'choi kon soup', steamed egg and vegetables. Nice home cooked food. Thank you Uncle Wong!

Monday did not seem so tired like the last. All recharged, hopefully the battery will last till the end of this week. Cant wait to catch the Butoh Performance this Saturday at the Annexe, Central Market.
